1. Context
The in-vehicle experience has long been shaped by screens. Dashboards and heads-up displays have improved how information is presented, but they still rely on the same interaction model. Users have to shift their attention to access what they need, even if only for a moment.
At the same time, wearable devices like smart glasses are starting to bring information into the userās field of view. This opens up a new way to think about how safety and guidance can be delivered without pulling attention away from the real world.
2. Problem
Current systems depend on divided attention. Drivers and users are asked to balance what they see in front of them with what is shown on a screen. Even small shifts in focus can interrupt awareness in moments where it matters.
Outside the vehicle, the experience becomes more fragmented. People move between devices and tools, often losing continuity and having to re-engage with information when they need it most.
This creates a gap between where information is delivered and where it is actually needed.
3. Opportunity
People want to stay present in their environment, especially in situations that require awareness. The more a system asks them to look away or switch context, the less effective it becomes.

OnStar Pursuit AR brings relevant information into a userās field of view through wearable devices. Guidance, hazards, and key signals appear in context, aligned with the environment rather than separated from it.
Built on the same safety identity as Rhea, the experience stays consistent across vehicle, mobile, and wearable touchpoints. The system focuses on showing the right information at the right time, so users can stay aware without needing to shift their attention.
